Last night's show at the Watling Community Centre in Burnt Oak was an evening dedicated to showcasing Nepal's folk music instruments. The event went beyond mere entertainment, emphasising the preservation of a musical and cultural identity.

It was encouraging to see a good turnout, highlighting the appreciation of old customs and traditions through age old instruments. These instruments and its transmission down to the generations provide an opportunity to keep the spirit of tradition alive and depicting stories of everyday life be it through sarangi, Madal, Flute, Murchunga, or Panche Baja.

Huge thanks and credit to the Sarangi Chautari UK, a key proponent in spreading the message of keeping this tradition alive.
